Health Canada published the new Information on the Use of Cannabis for Medical Purposes (IUCMP) on Canada.ca.
This document was developed in response to recommendations 44 and 45 in the final report from the Legislative Review of the Cannabis Act which pertain to providing evidence-based information on the use of cannabis for medical purposes for health care professionals and the public. It also supports the objectives of the Cannabis Act and its Regulations.
The IUCMP is designed to educate and support patients in making informed decisions about lower-risk use of cannabis for medical purposes, and health care providers in discussing cannabis for medical purposes with patients.
